Pump foiling, foil spots and shared sessions – planned together
SessionSpot is the website and app for riders who want to plan pump foil, wing foil or other foil sessions with other people. Whether it is Grüner See in Ratingen, Fühlinger See in Cologne, Kemnader See near Witten or Baldeneysee in Essen: you can see who is heading to the spot and when, and join a group without the guesswork.
SessionSpot brings together time slots, riders and spot pages, so you can quickly see who is on the water. It is built for pump foilers, but works just as well for wing foil, prone foil, FoilDrive and downwind sessions.
Cologne to the Ruhr
Lakes and spots across the Rhine-Ruhr area
Grüner See, Fühlinger See, Unterbacher See, Kemnader See, Baldeneysee and more are covered with local spot pages, editorial notes and community groups, so you know what to expect before you drive out.
Time slots
Who is going foiling, and when?
The core feature is a 10-day booking view. It shows who plans to be at which spot and whether a spontaneous session or a shared meeting point is worth it.
For groups
From search straight into session planning
Pump foil sessions work best when you can see who is at the spot. SessionSpot connects public spot pages with the actual time booking, so a search for pump foil in Cologne can turn into a real meeting point.
Rheinwelle
Ship waves on the Rhine, explained
Rheinwelle is SessionSpot's live view for ship wakes on the Rhine near Cologne. It uses AIS ship positions to estimate when a vessel will pass a spot (ETA) and in which direction it travels, and adds a rough wake rating for FoilDrive, prone foil and pump foil riders. The rating is a heuristic estimate, not a measured wave height.
SessionSpot on Instagram: reels, foil spots and sessions
On Instagram, SessionSpot shares short clips and photos from the pump foil community: riders at the spot, prepared setups, lake moods, reels and glimpses of shared sessions. It is the quickest visual way into the scene.
If you want to jump straight to session planning, open the app here or send the link to your phone. You land on the 10-day overview with spots, weather and planned riders.
The app itself is currently available in German only. An English version is planned.
